Top political meetings help to end differences: President Deuba

Kathmandu, Oct 13 : President of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has expressed belief that top political meetings could resolve big problems of the country through talks and consensus.

At a tea reception and greetings exchange programme organised by the NC on the occasion of Kojagrat Purnima, the final day of Dashain festival, here on Sunday, President Deuba said that although there is any political difference, the culture of meeting each other and exchanging greetings has been developed.

Responding to a query, he said that Chinese President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Nepal has further strengthened bilateral relation.

The NC President stated that he during the visit with the Chinese President said that the NC has always accepted One China Policy and Nepal is also committed not to allow its soil to be used for any inimical activities against China.

He said that President Xi has invited him for China visit and he would embark on China visit at convenient time.

The NC has been hosting tea reception on Kojagrat Purnima, the final day of Dashain festival, every year since 2035 after its founder leaders late BP Koirala and Ganesh Man Singh returned from India with the policy of national reconciliation.
