Gagan Thapa seeks youth role to retrieve encroached land

Damauli, Dec 24, 2019 : Nepali Congress (NC) central member and former Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said youths should be proactive to make sure the regaining of Nepali territory encroached by the Indian side.

In his address to a welcome programme organised by the Adikavi Bhanubhakta Campus at Byas municipality-1, Nepal Students Union unit for new students here today, the NC youth leader  expressed commitments that even an inch of Nepali territory would not be allowed to be invaded. “India seems ready to discuss the matter,” he said, adding, “The present generation would struggle for the safeguard of Nepali land.”

As he said, only democracy is a path towards prosperity. “Though we heard leaders announcing publicly that Nepal would be made like Singapore, wishes from an individual level would not bring prosperity,” he claimed.

NC Tanahu president Baikuntha Neupane highlighted the need of reading culture among youths to develop leadership capacity within the selves.  Unit President Sudarsan Pokhrel presided over the programme.
