Former Mayor of Namobudha Municipality passes away

Kavre, Sept 23: Former Mayor of Namobudha Municipality Tanka Prasad (TP) Sharma Timalsina passed away this morning. He was 67.

Timalsina, who was critically injured in a road accident some two months ago, died while receiving treatment at the Dhulikhel Hospital, Timalsina’s nephew Prakash Timalsina confirmed.

A resident of Namobudha Municipality-2, he was elected the mayor of the municipality in the elections held in 2074 BS.

The former mayor was injured after a scooter he was riding plunged at Biskilo of the BP Highway in the district on July 26.     

Timalsina leaves behind his spouse and two sons. —
