NC Acting President Khadka extends best wishes on Chhath festival

Kathmandu, Oct 27: Acting President of the Nepali Congress, Purna Bahadur Khadka, has said the Chhath festival has greatly contributed to promoting social goodwill, harmony, and national unity along with the support to build a prosperous society.    

Extending his best wishes on the occasion today, Khadka said the festival strengthens the spirit of togetherness, discipline, family unity and social harmony.    

“Nepal is a multi-lingual, multi-caste, multi-cultural, and multi-religious country, and the festivals celebrated here have further united all of us in mutual harmony, tolerance, and national unity. Our festivals have not only reinforced social ties but also played an important role in promoting national identity and building a prosperous nation,” he said.    

He wished peace, happiness, and prosperity to all Nepali citizens at home and abroad and expressed hope that the Chhath festival would inspire everyone to cement social goodwill and harmony.

NC Acting President Khadka urges NC youths to protect Constitution

Acting President of the Nepali Congress (NC), Purna Bahadur Khadka, has urged the party’s youth members to dedicate themselves to protecting the Constitution, the nation, and its citizens.

Addressing a reception organized by the Nepal Tarun Dal, the youth wing of the NC, on the occasion of its 73rd anniversary, he said, “Nepal is facing an adverse situation in its history, and the NC is in a similar position.” He urged the Taruns to move ahead with a resolution to address the situation. The nation’s crisis was caused by infiltration in the peaceful demonstrations led by the Gen Z people, he said, while applauding the contribution of President Ramchandra Paudel in safeguarding the Constitution during such challenging times.

He further urged the NC youth wing to unite and participate in campaigns promoting good governance and prosperity.

Nepal Tarun Dal President Bidwan Gurung said the wing has always been dedicated to serving the nation and its people. On the occasion of its anniversary, the youth wing also organized a blood-donation programme. —
