Kathmandu, Oct 30 : With overcast skies, light rainfall in taking place in the federal capital since early this morning.
The Weather Forecasting Division has predicted the weather to remain mostly cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with hilly regions of the country and generally cloudy in the Tarai region.
There are chances of moderate rainfall at many places in Koshi, Madhesh, and Bagmati Provinces, and at a few places in the hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces. Light rainfall is likely at a few places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
Furthermore, moderate snowfall is likely at some places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country. The country is currently under the influence of westerly winds, the partial impact of the cyclone Montha developed in the Bay of Bengal, along with the low pressure system in the Arab Sea, adds the Division.
Rainfall blocks road in Daunne again
The Daunne section of the Narayanghat-Butwal road along the East-West Highway has been blocked again.
The road which was already operating only one-way for maintenance has been completely blocked due to rain since this morning, said Madhu Nepal, Information Officer of the District Police Office.
The road at Bishwokarma Temple and Ghyukhola in Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 in Daunne section has been blocked. Vehicles have not been able to move westwards due to the muddy and slippery road following the rain since morning, Nepal said.
