Neglect to young generation behind Gen Z movement: Chair Bijukchhe

Bhaktapur, Dec 12: Chairman of the Nepal Workers and Peasant Party (NWPP), Narayan Man Bijukchhe, has said country suffered a huge loss of lives and property in the Gen Z movement occurred after the political parties failed to incorporate young generation.

Inaugurating a municipal sports competition in the district on Thursday, Chairman Bijukchhe, however, said it was wrong to vandalize and set on fire significant office buildings, including the Singha Durbar Complex and government offices.

He viewed sports not only fosters friendship, education and culture but also improves physical and mental health of the players. On the occasion, Mayor of Bhaktapur municipality, Sunil Prajapati, said the week-long sports competition features various games like football, chess, badminton, karate, gymnastic, baghchal and taekwondo.

More than 80 schools are competing in the games. Nearly 408 students are competing in athletics. Earlier, a rally begun from Dattatraya went through the thoroughfares and concluded by reaching Martyrs Memorial Playground.
