Free health camp benefits 400

Baitadi, Sept 28 : A free health camp has been conducted at Pancheshwor health post in the district benefitting nearly 400 people.

The two-day free health camp held under the ‘Doctors in Villages’ programe was supported by the Ministry of Social Development in Sudur Paschim State.

Chief of the health office in the district, Yogesh Prasad Bhatt, informed that a total of 387 persons received health service. Among them, 80 pregnant women underwent ultrasound, and 297 had general health checkup.

Similarly, 20 got family planning services. Such free health camp would be organized at remote health post of the rural municipalities every month, added Bhatt, saying that the people in the remote area were deprived of basic health services.

Pancheshwor rural municipality’s Vice Chairperson Bina Bhatta informed that the locals became happy to get their health checked at their convenience.

Six contract dengue in Baitadi

Three persons contracted dengue lately, resulting in a total of six in the district.

The District Hospital here informed that three persons visiting the hospital from Dasharathchand municipality-10 were suffering the dengue fever, said hospital’s information officer Bhuwan Prasad Joshi.

Two patients were provided treatment in the district, while one referred to better medical facility. Moreover, 24 persons have got scrub typhus.

Dasharathchand municipality has provided scrub typhus test kit to the district hospital.
