India and China support Nepal’s economic prosperity: Prachanda

Mahottari, Oct 30 : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assured that Nepal had secured support from her immediate neighbours –India and China for achieving prosperity.

At a festival greetings exchange programme organized at Pipara of Mahottari on the occasion of upcoming Chhat festival, leader Dahal said that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping had expressed their common concerns over the development of Nepal.

Pressing for modernization in agriculture for achieving economic prosperity in the country, Dahal shared that NCP-led government had prioritized development works particularly in connection with agriculture.

“NCP-led government has forwarded the projects as Sunkoshi-Kamala and Sunkoshi-Bagmati Diversion to ensure irrigation facility in the Terai belt,” Dahal said.

            Appealing with the public in Mahottari to cast their vote to NCP in the upcoming by-election on November 30, the former Prime Minister expressed his confidence that NCP would always win the confidence of public.

The post of chairman in three rural municipalities in Mahottari district such as Pipara Rural Municipality, Matihani rural municipality and Balawa Municipality has been lying vacant.

Also, speaking at the event, Secretary-General of NCP Bishnu Poudel claimed that NCP had undertaken many of the national pride projects. The incumbent government, he claimed, was working on the ‘economic agenda’ to ensure prosperity in the country.

Likewise, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel shared that efforts were underway to achieve cent per cent literacy in the country by next year.

Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Bhattarai pledged his support to construct an amusement park at Danauli Banauli in Pipara Rural Municipality.

The place is hometown to greatest poet of Maithali language, Bidhyapati.

The event was attended by NCP central members, NCP Province no 2’s chairman and cadres.
