Army effortful to open snow-disrupted Khaptad road

Doti, Dec 17, 2019 : Nepal Army (NA) is effortful to resume the operation of Khaptad road, which has been disrupted due to incessant snowfall in the main tourism hub of Sudurpaschim State.

NA’s Guru Gorakh Battalion has continued its efforts to clear the debris and resume transport on the way to Khaptad National Park, shared lieutenant at battalion Tirtha Bahadur Khatry.

According to the battalion, the thick snow has posed challenge to resume traffic operation on the road heading to tourism hotspot. “There is still four-feet snow on the road in Khaptad, which has made it daunting task to clear the deck”, the battalion sources said.

Owing to continuous snowfall the roads leading to holy shrines – Triveni, Saharshalinga and Ghodadaune Patan have been disrupted. However, the roads to Nateswori, Khaptadbaba Ashram have been cleared, shared NA’s Sudurpaschim Divisional Headquarters Dipayal Rajpur.
