SURKHET, Nov 30: Karnali State Social Development Minister Dal Rawal has chartered a helicopter to lay the foundation stone of a hospital in Sarkegad village of Humla.

On Monday morning, a team including Minister Rawal and the chairman and vice-chairman of the rural municipality in Surkhet chartered a Nepal Army helicopter and went to Sarkegad.

According to a village municipality source, Minister Rawal has reached Sarkegad to lay the foundation stone of the hospital. Sarkegad is Minister Rawal’s constituency.

The sources said, “The cost for the helicopter charter will be born by the municipality itself.”

Nanda Bahadur Rokaya, the personal secretary to Minister Rawal, said that the Minister has returned to Surkhet after laying the foundation stone of a 15-bed hospital to be built in Sarkegad village.

In recent days, ministers have been taking helicopters to the Himalayan districts of Karnali from small to big jobs.

‘There is no citamol in the village health post. The minister lays the foundation stone by chartering a helicopter to make an impact in the village,’ said the locals.
