NEPSE rose by double digits

KATHMANDU, Dec 31: The share price of most of the companies traded on the stock market on the last trading day of the year has increased. Some companies have also declined as the NEPSE index, which measures share turnover, has improved by double digits.

The NEPSE index has increased by 25.21 points and reached 2,087.27 points. The Sensitive Index, which measures the trading activity of Class A companies, also rose by 7.40 points. The transaction amount has also improved along with the NEPSE index.

Earlier, the share turnover was limited to Rs 4 billion in Wednesday’s trading. On Thursday, the turnover was over Rs 5.5 billion. A total of 1,14,64,002 shares of 207 companies have been bought and sold from 50,386 transactions during the day.

Accordingly, the transaction amount has reached Rs 5.70 billion, the Nepal Stock Exchange has informed.
