NEPSE index gains 8.66 points on Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The NEPSE index gained 8.66 points on Wednesday and closed at 2,543.03. The index opened at 2,544.80 and made an intraday low at 2,511.03. While the index went as high as 2,547.76, it ultimately closed at 2,543.03.

According to NEPSE, 14,906,077 shares traded hands via 62,015 transactions. The trading of 191 scrips brought the total market turnover to a little over Rs. 7.64 billion.

While the float index lost 0.98 points and closed at 173.73, the Sensitive index is at 465.13 after losing 2.56 points.

Global IME Bank has the highest individual scrip turnover of a little over Rs. 52.02 crores. The shares of Kumari Bank traded the most.

The top three gainers have technically hit the 10% positive circuit today.

Meanwhile, Sadhana Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha lost the most 6.38%.

Five sectors gained today and seven others lost. While Finance gained the most 3.27%, Trading lost the most 3.21%.
