KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has convened a meeting of the Standing Committee today.
Spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha informed that a meeting has been called for 3 pm on Tuesday at the party head office, Parisdanda. According to him, the latest political developments will be discussed in the meeting.
It is understood that the meeting was convened by the UCPN (MC) after Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli decided to hold a vote of confidence on May 10. On Monday, they had a telephone conversation with Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba to discuss Oli’s decision to vote of confidence.
Deuba has started discussing the latest political issues in the meeting with office bearers from 2 pm today.
