Prohibitory order extended until August 4 in Kathmandu Valley

KATHMANDU: Ongoing prohibitory order has been extended for 10 more days in the Kathmandu Valley.

A meeting of the chief district officers (CDOs) of the three districts in the Kathmandu Valley took this decision for extending the ongoing prohibitory order until August 4.

According to a press statement issued from the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, the government has restricted public gatherings, operation of party palaces, cinema halls, bars, clubs, swimming pools and museums among others.

The order has also restricted to mark festival with public gathering and organizing protest movement with huge crowd in public places.

Similarly, the order has restricted the educational institutions to conduct classes in person until further notice.

However, seminars, training and workshops could be continued by virtually. Likewise, shops could be opened till 7:00 PM.

However, medical stores and pharmacies could be opened round the clock. The public vehicles could run to carry passengers based on their seat’s capacity while the three-wheelers and mini-micro buses are not permitted to carry more than nine people.

Similarly, the prohibitory order stated that examinations could be conducted by managing maximum of 25 students in one room.
