Kathmandu, Aug 8: President Ramchandra Paudel has said the Nepali music sector lost a veteran musician.
While issuing a condolence message on the demise of classical musician Kamat to the bereaved family, President Paudel said the late Kamat was a standout classical musician in Nepal.
“Kamat’ composed many everlasting songs, gazals and hymns and sang in various languages. He will always be remembered by Nepalis,” President said in his condolence message.
The President said that he was saddened by the demise of Kamat. He extended condolences to the bereaved family.The condolence message was handed over to Kamat’s family by Siraha Chief District Officer Basudev Dahal and Lahan Municipality Chief Mahesh Kumar Chaudhary on Wednesday.
