Kaski, Sept 6: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that the role of local industrialists and businesspeople was crucial to march ahead on the path to socialism.
At a programme on ‘Role of Nepali Industrialists and Businesspeople in the Socialism-Oriented Economy’ organized by the Federation of Nepal Industry and Businessmen in Pokhara on Saturday, the former PM called for contributions from all sides for the establishment of socialism.
“We are marching ahead for the establishment of socialism. We should establish socialism through good governance, social justice and prosperity. For this, the contribution of industrialists and businesspeople is immense,” according to former PM Prachanda.
On the occasion, he said that his party has proposed a clear roadmap to make Nepal as self-reliant and sovereign economy country.
Meanwhile, speaking at a separate programme in Palungtar, Gorkha, on Saturday, CPN (Maoist Centre) Vice Chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that constitution amendment was needed to maintain political stability in the country.
He viewed that political stability could be maintained only through the constitution amendment, good governance and political cleansing and added that the major task of the country at present is to uplift people’s livelihood.
