Attariya (Kailali), Oct 19: The Kailali Customs Office collected Rs 1.79 billion in revenue in the past three months.
The Office said that it collected Rs 1.79 billion during the first three months of the current fiscal year starting from Sawan.
Information Officer of the Office, Khim Prasad Aryal, shared that Rs 696.7 million was collected under the customs tariffs, while Rs 689.8 million was received from the Value Added Tax (VAT).
Likewise, Rs 50 million was collected from excise duty and Rs 355.8 million from other headings. However, the Office could not achieve the target set for revenue collection in any of the months.
During the period, the Office collected 18.46 percent of the annual target.
The Kailali Customs Office has targeted to collect Rs 9.71 billion in revenue in the current fiscal year 2082/083 BS against the total collection of Rs 8.66 billion in the last fiscal year. —
