Kathmandu, March 31: The National Medicine Laboratory (NML) has obtained the globally recognized ISO 17025: 2017 accreditation.
The only government lab of the country to test the medicine quality has been ISO accreditation certified after 60 years of its establishment.
Director of NML, Bharat Bhattarai, shared that the lab has now turned into a government medicine laboratory of international standard and it would gain more credibility for ensuring the quality of medicines.
“The Lab became successful to achieve ISO certificate due to three years of tireless work of the entire team of the lab. We specially worked in management and quality of medicines for this purpose,” he said.
NML has been carrying out testing and analysis, quality control and management, and quality and process validation of the medicines produced in the country and imported from abroad. —
