Kathmandu, April 2: Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Saha pledged to organize skills fair in all seven provinces through the ministry within a year.
In a press meet at the ministry, he shared the ministry’s plan of actions which includes commencing the skills fair from Janakpur soon and then conducting the same in remaining provinces within a year.
The ministry has set a target to create employment opportunities within the country in a way to engage competent human resource for nation’s prosperity, Minister Saha shared. “Producing skilled human resource is a need of the hour.
The ministry does not have adequate resources to host the fair. However, we are planning to adopt Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model. We will work with private sector to mobilize the CSR fund for fairs”.
Likewise, the ministry is making ground works to sign labour permit with additional five countries, he said. Minister Saha further said the ministry will monitor whether the labourers receive safe and well-managed work space and bring the guilty to book if labour exploitation is established. —
