Kathmandu, April 5: The government has decided to provide Saturday and Sunday as weekly holiday. A
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday at Singh Durbar took a decision to this effect.
The decision for two-day weekly holiday was taken in view of difficulty in easy supply of petroleum products owing to war in West Asia.
“The Cabinet has decided to provide two-day, Saturday and Sunday, as weekly holiday effective from Monday, April 6, for al government offices and academic institutions and the office hour will be 5-9,” said Sasmit Pokharel, the government spokesperson and Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Youths and Sports.
