Kathmandu, April 21: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Mr Samir Paul Kapur, who is on a visit to Nepal, held discussion with Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on Monday.
“I was pleased to meet RSP President Lamichhane and learn about the party’s priorities in the new government,” he wrote on social media. “We also discussed potential areas of cooperation between the United States and Nepal.”
Likewise, he also held discussions with leaders from the private sector about expanding American business opportunities in Nepal’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector on Monday itself.

The meeting focused on expanding and strengthening digital infrastructure, increasing the use of artificial intelligence, and enhancing cyber-security. Discussions were also held on ways to share American technological expertise.
