Nepal, Kathmandu, April 22: The 207-kilometre, 11-day Gorkha–Jitgadhi Unification Trek, which began on April 10 from Gorkha Durbar, concluded on Monday with a program at Jitgadhi Fort in Rupandehi.

The trek passed through Tanahun, Syangja and Palpa, covering roughly 207 kilometres before reaching its final destination on the 11th day. Upon arrival, a विजय celebration was held, featuring local processions and cultural performances.

Organised to preserve history and promote nationalism, patriotism and unity, the trek drew strong public participation throughout the route.

According to the Nepali Army, the initiative aims to protect and promote Nepal’s historical heritage—particularly forts, battle routes and other sites of national importance—while reviving the trail associated with Prithvi Narayan Shah during the unification campaign.
