Kathmandu, April 28: A ‘Cycling for Peace’ event has been launched from Kathmandu to Lumbini on the occasion of the 2570th Buddha Jayanti this year. The journey started today from Swayambhu and will end in Lumbini on Buddha Poornima on April 30.
A total of 108 cyclists are participating in the journey organised with the aim of spreading the message of peace, compassion and coexistence from Lumbini, the holy land of world peace.
The event has been held in coordination with the Nepal Tourism Board. The participants in the journey will spread the message of peace, compassion and awareness for world peace and human welfare, shared the organizing institution’s patron and Buddhist religious leader Shyalpa Rinpoche. —
