Bhairahawa, May 17: Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chet Narayan Acharya has expressed his commitment to formulate policies to encourage industrialists and businesspersons as the private sector is the backbone of the economic prosperity of Lumbini Province.
At the installation ceremony of the fourth executive committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry held in Bhairahawa today, Chief Minister Acharya urged the newly elected office bearers to work as guardians of industrialists and businesspersons. The provincial government is always committed to raising the morale of industrialists and traders.
Chief Minister Acharya stressed on the need to develop the Chamber as a center of trust for the industrial sector. “The provincial government is moving forward with a sense of responsibility to boost the morale of traders,” said Acharya.
Stating that the development of the province will not be possible if the private sector cannot make the expected contribution, he pointed out the need to create an environment of cooperation, coordination and trust between the government and the private sector.
At the program, the newly elected central vice-president of the Federation, Krishna Prasad Sharma, said that the government and the private sector should move forward as partners. —
