Biratnagar, June 1: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has stressed the need of keeping tourism sector at the top for the development of the national capital. He also urged the entrepreneurs to invest in the tourism sector.
Unveiling a book ‘Koshi’s Destinations, Experiences and Potentials’ written by Basudev Baral on Monday, Chief Minister Karki opined that tourism promotion would help the country to prosper, create employment opportunities and reduce poverty.
The book was published by Oriental Publications. On the occasion, Chief Minister Karki pointed out the need to make investments from the state’s side for at least a decade for the development of tourism infrastructures.
Similarly, Manager of the Publications, Hari Gautam, laid emphasis on the overall development of Koshi Province as it is the confluence of opportunity, challenge and potential.
Writer Baral expressed the belief that his creation would be useful for the people and organizations affiliated with the tourism sector.
Reviewing the book, literary figures Krishna Shah and Sima Awas stated that the book is useful to those interested in the tourism of Koshi Province. —
