Identity of Rolpa jeep accident victims ascertained

Tribeni (Rukum West), Sept 13: Identity of the persons who died in the jeep accident occurred in Sanibheri rural municipality in Rolpa West have been ascertained.

They are jeep driver Sundar Khadka Magar, 28, of Tribeni rural municipality-1 and Prem Kala Pun, 16, of Sanibheri rural municipality-6, according to Information Officer at the District Police Office, Hemant Giri. Both of them died on the spot in the incident.

Similarly, 12 people were injured in the incident. Critically injured Bal Bahadur Pun, 38, Purna Bahadur Jaisi, 15, Kaushila Pun, 50 and Khimala Pun, 15, of Sanibheri rural municipality-6 have been airlifted to Provincial Hospital Surkhet for further treatment. Other passengers, who sustained minor injuries, are undergoing treatment at Chaurjahari Hospital, added Giri.

The jeep (Lu 1 Cha 6029) heading towards Simli from Kotgaun fell some 100 meters off the road near ward office on Sunday morning. —
