USA to provide 31 million USD to Nepal

Kathmandu, Sept 24: The United States of America is going to provide Nepal with 31 million dollars.

This information was shared by US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker during a meeting on Wednesday with Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, who is currently in New York to attend the 81st United Nations General Assembly.

Under Secretary of State Hooker said there is a plan to provide 10 million dollars for post-flood reconstruction. He announced that eight million dollars will be provided for drinking water and sanitation, as well as housing and livelihood for communities affected by the flood. —
