Hetauda, Oct 7: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Kiran Thapamagar, has said the services of Hetauda Hospital would be expanded, considering growing flow of patients.
Province government has kept expansion of Hetauda Hospital in priority, he reminded. Chief Minister Thapamagar said it during a programme organized by the Madan Bhandari Academy of Health Sciences (MBAHS) here today.
Establishment of a cath lab, MRI section and additional beds would be forwarded accordingly, according to him. In view of growing number of people for medical services from Hetauda Hospital, the administrative office of MBAHS could be shifted elsewhere to manage extended service of the Hospital, the Minister explained the plan.
The cath lab is for the treatment of heart disease and once it is set up here it ends people’s compulsion to visit Kathmandu in case of serious heart diseases. Minister Thapamagar further informed that efforts were on for ensuring MRI service and specialized treatment of child and material health issues.
He, however, said the budget allocated for the health sector was not enough, so it would be increased next year. —-
