Eight families in Dang provided with land ownership certificates

Dang, Nov 1: Eight landless squatters’ families in Dang have been provided with land ownership certificates.

Chief district officer in Dang, Nischal Raj Pandey, and chair of Gadhawa Rural Municipality, Yam Narayan Pokhrel, distributed them the official documents of land ownership. The government has pursued a policy of addressing the land issues for the landless Dalits, squatters and those occupying unorganized settlement.

According to the District Administration Office, the distribution of land ownership certificates to landless families has been implemented further effectively as per the government’s policy of legalizing the land occupancy by them. —
