Kathmandu, Nov 1: Travel content creators from seven countries have arrived in Nepal. The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) collaborated with TikTok to bring them to Nepal.
The initiative aims to promote Nepal’s touristic destinations globally via international social media including digital platforms.
The travel content creators hailing from France, Portugal, Tunisia, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have been invited to Nepal. During their stay in Nepal, the travelers will produce videos and digital contents capturing Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, adventure activities and various other facets of tourism. Such content will be shared with a global audience via social media platforms, including TikTok.
NTB senior manager Surya Thapaliya said three creators from the UAE and Tunisia are busy in exploring Pokhara, while others are travelling across Kathmandu. Their creations are to highlight tourist destinations such as Pokhara, Chitwan and Bardiya as well as other sites of cultural, historical and tourism significance across Nepal.
They are expected to showcase Nepal’s Himalayan beauty, cultural heritage, adventure tourism and local lifestyle to the global community, it is said. —-
