Two dead, 11 injured in Gulmi jeep accident

Gulmi, April 5: Two people died and 11 others were injured when a jeep met with an accident in Gulmi district on Sunday, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna Dhenga, 35, and Meena Sanami, 40, from Misuka of Gulmidurbar Rural Municipality in Gulmi district, according to Information Officer of the Gulmi District Police Office Ganga Saru.

The accident occurred at Misuka of Birbas at Gulmidurbar Rural Municipality-4 when the jeep with registration No. Lu 1 Cha 4906 plunged off the road this afternoon.

Police said that all injured ones, except three-year-old Chhaya Dhenga, have been referred to Palpa Hospital for further treatment. Further details about the cause of the accident are yet to be ascertained as police said that the investigations into the incident are underway. —
