Four die in separate road accidents

Hetauda, Aug 29: Four persons were killed in separate road accidents in Makawanpur and Kaski districts. Somlal Ghalan, 40, Hetauda-5 in Makawanpur died when a motorcycle (State 2-03001 Pa 9390) hit a cycle he was riding in Hetauda-5 in Makawanpur on Wednesday.

Likewise, a man was killed after being hit by an auto-rickshaw (Na 2 Ha 1890) in Hetauda-11. Local resident Narayan Lamsal, 50, died at a hospital in Bharatpur. The police have held the motorcycle rider and driver of the auto-rickshaw for investigations.

A man was killed when a motorcycle (Ga 7 Pa 7428) and a scooter (Ga 11 Pa 2358) collided at Gagangauda of Pokhara Metropolitan City-32.

The deceased has been identified as Jagbin Pun of Nadipur in Pokhara, pillion passenger of the scooter. He died at Pokhara Academy of Health Science. Three others–Bikal Sunar of Lekhnath Bhandardhik, Dipak BK of Rupa-7 and Nishan Gurung of Archalbot of Pokhara–were injured.

Likewise, a man died when a minivan (Ga 3 Cha 1422) and a motorcycle (Ba 94 Pa 1705) collided at Lekhnath Talchowk along the Prithiva Highway. The deceased has been identified as Thaman Paija, 28, of Kirtipur in Kathmandu. He died at Manipal Teaching Hospital, said the police.
