At an interaction with media persons organised by Forum for Women, Law and Development here today, participants suggested to expand the committee up to the state and local level.

A national committee and district committees as per the need have been formed to coordinate between government bodies and non-government organisations in the task of stopping the crime and rehabilitating the victims as per the Human Trafficking and Smuggling (Control) Regulation-2056 BS.

Saying there are many challenges like lack of public awareness, poverty and illiteracy to stop the human trafficking, Joint-Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen, Rudradevi Sharma, said that support and coordination of all was necessary to stop it.
