Shakya files case in Supreme Court against his dismissal from NEA

KATHMANDU: Hitendra Dev Shakya has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court seeking the post of Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).

Babu Ram Dahal, the Registrar at the Supreme Court, informed that Shakya had filed a writ petition against the appointment of Kulman Ghising in the NEA.

In the writ petition, Shakya had argued that he had not received an official letter of removal from NEA. Shakya has demanded an interim order to maintain himself in the Nepal Electricity Authority.

Earlier, it was claimed that the government had appointed Kulman Ghising as Managing Director at NEA with Shakya’s consent. Although the government had appointed Shakya to the Energy Commission for four years term by providing services as of Secretary level, he has suddenly gone to the Supreme Court.
