Weather update: Cloudy conditions expected nationwide

Kathmandu, Sept 14: The current weather update indicates that cloudy conditions will prevail across the country due to the influence of monsoon winds and a low-pressure system positioned south of its average location.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted moderate rain or snowfall, accompanied by thunder and lightning, particularly in the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in select areas of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

In addition to the Himalayan regions, moderate rainfall with similar storm conditions is expected in various hilly areas and Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, along with some parts of Madhesh and Koshi Provinces, division said.

There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in isolated locations within the hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, as well as in the hilly and Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces. Overall, the forecast suggests that cloudy weather will continue into the night, with ongoing precipitation and storm activity in the specified regions. —
