Kathmandu, Oct 2: CPN (UML) parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has said that there has not been any concrete achievement for the people’s daily lives.
Speaking in the House of Representatives’ meeting today, he mentioned that while there are many crises seen in the world, the government’s initiative to solve the problems seen in Nepal seems weak. He clarified that his party acknowledged the defeat they faced in the election on March 5, 2026 but would take it as a learning experience without ‘surrendering’.

NCP parliamentary deputy leader Hamal says govt not serious towards parliament Similarly, speaking at today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), Pramesh Kumar Hamal, deputy leader of the parliamentary party of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), has commented that the government is not serious about the voices raised in the House.
He alleged that the government brought ordinances after the last session ended, that the Speaker’s directions were not followed in the current session, and that the Prime Minister is not accountable to Parliament.
The NCP parliamentary party deputy leader emphasized that there should be a review of the government’s announcements, commitments, programmes, and budget, and that democratic process and procedures should be followed.
He criticized the government for not being able to work according to their commitment in service delivery and mentioned that, even in areas like good governance and people’s livelihoods, the work has not been done as expected.
RPP leader Shahi demands action against Gen Z movement accused and corrupt people Likewise, speaking at today’s meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR), Gyan Bahadur Shahi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded action against those found guilty and involved in corruption by the report formed to investigate the Gen Z movement. He made it clear that if anyone is proven guilty in any criminal incident, his party will support taking action against them.
Leader Shahi urged for further development of industries, factories, and health institutions in the country, saying that the situation where young people are forced to go abroad for jobs has still not ended. He drew the government’s attention to bring a concrete programme for proper relief, compensation, and prompt rehabilitation of flood victims. —
