Speaker Aryal leaving for Tanzania to attend 153rd general assembly of IPU

Kathmandu, Oct 2: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is leaving here on Sunday to attend the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), scheduled to take place in Tanzania. He is leading a seven-member parliamentary delegation.

The event will have the participation of lawmakers and House Speakers from 183 countries. Speaker Aryal will make aware the lawmakers from across the globe on climate change impact in Nepal and current federal parliament structure where over 37 percent lawmakers under 40-year-old.

He will also voice for climate justice as stressed by Prime Minister Balendra Shah in the 81st session of UN General Assembly. —
